So go to YouTube’s The SketchUp Channel, and go crazy. There aren’t many tools in SU, and a maestro with SU can use the same tools and techniques for many different kinds of applications. I say all this, because I think it would be a mistake to avoid tutorials and videos that don’t seem directly instrumental or relevant to your project. Investing that time and time to practice common constructions will end up saving you time and frustration, and your work will be better and easier to manage. That way, you’ll have a fair idea of what SU can do, and a rough idea of what’s entailed. You’d be much better off to spend some time learning the toolset and interface first thing. ![]() If you’re going to make that detailed a model, which will represent a goodly investment of your time, you would be ill-advised to just sit down and start winging it.
